Chester Edward Washington Jr. was born on December 13, 1932 to the late Chester Washington Sr. and Sarah Washington in Hanes, Arkansas.

Chester accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Chester was a member of Sequell Missionary Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas where he was a faithful and dedicated member and was baptized.

Chester spent his life working and providing for his family as long as he could. He loved to farm, and practice his auto body trade.

Chester departed this earthly life on Tuesday July 26, 2017 at the Helena Regional Medical Center in West Helena, Arkansas with his family by his bedside showering him with love and prayer. His parents, a daughter Etherine; a son James; two brothers and one sister all preceded him in death.

Chester’s beautiful memories will forever be cherished by those who loved and knew him best, his loving wife of 27 years Alice Mae Gamble- Washington; nine daughters: Debra ( Ivary) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Terri of Marvell, Arkansas, Cassandra (Jereme) of California, Deneita of Texas, Aliesha (Allen) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Diesha of Marvell, Arkansas, Mennie (Johnny) , Barbara (Asker) and Valerie (Lorne) all of Minneapolis; five sons Clifford, George, Rickey all of Minneapolis, Tony of Little Rock, Arkansas and Tracy of Conway, Arkansas; and a host of grand- great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
